Helen’s senior executive career and board experience provides a robust basis for her work as a senior executive coach.
Helen’s coaching spans a broad range of topics, ultimately meeting her senior client where they are at. She is particularly interested in supporting senior leaders through times of personal and professional transition. She enjoys working on a one to one basis, helping individuals to reflect on their careers, and supporting them to break through to new options and possibilities. The objectives underlying Helen’s work are to raise individuals’ awareness, to face into issues and to explore together what choices exist.
As a relational coach, Helen uses a variety of theories to inform her coaching, including the Gestalt principles and transactional theory. She employs a broad set of techniques and has extensive knowledge and experience in high performing organisations.
Helen particularly enjoys working with those who are in or have had challenging careers and is a passionate advocate for working parents.
Helen’s impact as an executive coach is underpinned and enriched by her considerable executive experience in Retail and Retail Banking.
She started her career as a graduate with Sainsburys, was recruited into Tesco as a director its largest growth phase; led the transformation of the Barclays Retail Bank estate as a Managing Director during its recovery from the Financial Crisis; and was a member of the Barclays UK Diversity and Inclusion Board.
